I saw a documentary that showed this footage and said that the first guy shot was Ciano,Il DUce's son in law.

Was "Il Duce" not "El Duce"
Sorry but the article is not the Spanish "el" but the Italian "il" so was "il duce" not el duce, because unfortunately was Italian.
I still want to thanks, after 60 years, the US troops for the liberation of Italy.

Comparison with Saddams' execution (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7532034279766935521) is interesting. Different method (firing squad vs hanging) but result was the same: death at the hands of locals. The trial of Saddam certainly took much longer, and his body was afforded some vestige of respect.
